Finish The Book course shown on desktop, tablet and phone

The realistic writing plan you can start following TODAY to take the novel you’ve been dreaming about since you first fell in love with books all the way to THE END. (Without putting your entire life on hold, sacrificing every evening with your family, or waiting for six months of uninterrupted free time to magically appear.)

The novel living rent-free in your head deserves to become an actual finished book, and it starts with having a realistic writing plan that takes you all the way to THE END.

You’re a storyteller. You’re committed. You planned to write Tuesday night, but then your kid had soccer practice, dinner needed making, and suddenly it’s 10 PM, your manuscript is still unopened, and your bed is now calling your name.

Inside I’ll help you:

  • ✅ Finally create a plan where you don’t just dream about writing your book, but you actually watch the chapters pile up, even when you’ve only got 30 minutes to spare.
  • ✅ Keep writing the novel you’re obsessed with, even when a shiny new story idea shows up begging for your attention.
  • ✅ Finally feel the pride of typing THE END on a completed manuscript, instead of spending another year wondering when you’ll finish it.

All so you stop wondering if you’ll ever flip through the pages of YOUR own book.

Imagine that feeling of utter satisfaction when you finally get to write THE END on a story that’s lived inside of you for so long.

That’s exactly what we do inside of FINISH THE BOOK.

This Easy-Peasy Writing System Will Help You:

  • ✅ Discover YOUR drafting style so the words actually flow (and you can stop staring at a blinking cursor).
  • ✅ Create a writing ritual that works (even when you’d rather be watching Netflix, cuddled in a blanket after a long, trying day at the office.)
  • ✅ Know exactly how many words to write each session to reach THE END (so you’re never second-guessing ‘how long’ it should be).

How I wrote 30 novels in the last 20 years,
when I’m only 34 years old!

Here’s how it went…

Abby Arthur sitting with a stack of her published novels

I’ve been dreaming about writing novels since I was a little girl.

I wanted to write the kind of books people would fall in love with the way I fell in love with Harry Potter.

And when I say I wanted it BADLY? I was finishing my homework as fast as humanly possible so I could get back to my manuscript.

(Giving up extracurricular activities so I could write before school, after school, and pretty much every spare minute I had.)

But for years, I had plenty of story ideas and very few finished books.

And the people closest to me weren’t exactly cheering me on.

At 16, I finally published a book and sold 300 copies.

But I was still being told by my mother, “You can’t write, so just give up.”

And at 21? A religious leader convinced me to delete every manuscript, backstory, and fictional language I’d ever created—and burn every fiction book I owned.

Years of stories. Gone.

But my desire to write novels didn’t disappear with them…

Because I believed God had put that desire to write books in my heart for a reason.

So I kept writing!

And somewhere along the way, I learned how to turn that determination into a writing process that always got my novels FINISHED.

I’ve now drafted more than 30 novels, including a 102,000-word novel in just 3 months.

And that’s what I want for you!

  • ✅ To open your manuscript knowing how to make progress.
  • ✅ To keep adding chapters even when life gets busy, people don’t believe in you, or inspiration has other plans.
  • ✅ And to finally hold a completed manuscript and think, “Holy freaking crap. I WROTE THAT.”

When I drafted my bestselling books, I wasn’t just hoping I’d somehow find enough time to finish them.

I had a writing plan I could actually follow, even when life got busy.

Inside Finish the Book, I’m sharing the writing process I’ve developed over two decades so you can build your own realistic plan for finally finishing the novel you’ve been dreaming about writing.

Who Is This For?

  • ✅ The writer SO freaking committed to their stories, they’ve already written thousands of words, but they feel like a system for showing up and getting the words out will help with the imposter syndrome.
  • ✅ Writers whose heads are overflowing with stories… but whose bookshelves still don’t hold the novel they’ve dreamed of publishing.
  • ✅ The writer who dreams of seeing their name on a book cover, holding their very own novel in their hands, and knowing they actually followed through on writing the story they’ve been dreaming about for YEARS.
  • ✅ Writers who are tired of saying “Someday I’ll write that book” and are ready to make that dream a reality NOW.
  • ✅ Writers who want to make writing part of their lives WITHOUT sacrificing their families, careers, or everything else they love.
  • ✅ Romance, fantasy, thriller, mystery, sci-fi, and EVERY other fiction writer who’s ready to finally type THE END.

So many talented writers continue to sporadically put some words on the page and spend most of their time imagining what it would be like to have their books done.

The result? Tons of wasted time and still feeling guilty whenever your mom, friends, or family reach out and ask how the book is coming.

Finish the Book gives you the realistic writing plan to turn that story in your head into an actual finished manuscript. A writing process built around YOUR life, so you can keep getting words on the page even when your schedule doesn’t go as planned, and you can FINALLY reach THE END.

Well, Hi! I’m Abby!

I’ve been writing novels since 2006, and if there’s one thing I know how to do, it’s FINISH a freaking book. 😂

Between 2018 and 2021 alone, I wrote 11 novels, 8 short stories, and 2 novellas.

Yep. TWENTY-ONE stories.

And one of my published novels, The First Dark Sorcerer? I drafted all 102,000 words (352 pgs) in just THREE MONTHS.

I wasn’t spending eight hours a day chained to my keyboard, either.

I figured out how to set realistic writing goals, make time for my stories, and keep getting words on the page even when inspiration had other plans.

And after drafting more than 30 novels, I’ve learned something pretty freaking important:
